Day 21 - Monterey Bay to San Simeon

Left the dock at about 6:45. Ocean has lots of swells, definitely a rougher ride today than what we've been used to. Weather out here is gray, cloudy with patchy fog. Through the magic of AIS, we can see that we are passing the 194 foot Mega Yacht Senses. It is owned by Larry Page, co-owner of Google. They are headed North. We didn't get to see it as they were outside the three mile line and we are only about 1-1/2 miles offshore today. I did look at the pictures of it on Google, awesome.

No sun today. Pulled into San Simeon Bay at 2:30. No other boats here. Lots of people playing on the beach and kayaking. This spot is supposed to be one of the most beautiful and scenic places to anchor with a view of the Hearst Castle high atop the hill, but we won't see it unless the fog clears, not looking like that will happen.

Simeon Point, the North rock entrance

Nice little beach

Ok, my pictures were from when we arrived, the next ones are from David at about 7 tonight.

Pretty smooth for the ocean huh?

We have one little fishing boat joining us here tonight.
