Woke up to fog and drizzle and small craft warnings. Decided to go anyway. Left the dock at 7. Ocean is really rough to start with. Tossing us back and forth and and all the stuff in the cupboards is flying around. Need to do a better job of getting everything secured before we head out. David described it as Gnarley F'ing seas! Things settled down a little after about 45 minutes of travel, not as smooth as our previous days in the ocean but okay.
Made it to Brookings at 3:15. About 89 miles. As soon as we got into the harbor, the Coast Guard called us and put David through 20 questions. They came over and boarded us to do an inspection which we passed. We do need to get an app for the coast guard rules of navigation, but we did not get written up for it. Big fishing boat that we are next to is blocking our satellite so no TV. We'll just listen to music and have a nice dinner on the boat tonight. The boys washed the boat so all the salt is off.
